Silver Eels

These can be weighed on scales and submitted for merit points.
The fish should be treated with care until release.
In shore comps all silver eels will count as 1lb and should be released as soon as possible.

Tope

If you catch a Tope from the boat (or shore) please can you measure (in inches preferably) the length from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail and can you also record the girth at the widest point (usually in front of the dorsal fin). If possible can you get an approximate weight on the boat/shore so that I, the fish recorder, can compare some Tope formulas.

Smoothounds & Bass

Specimen points will be awarded for all measured fish (tip of snout to tip of tail)

THIS ALSO APPLIES TO FISH WEIGHED ON CERTIFIED SCALES AND RELEASED, PLEASE RECORD LENGTH OF SMOOTHOUNDS/BASS, THIS WILL THEN BE USED FOR MERIT POINTS AND NOT THE ACTUAL WEIGHT!
